The role requires precision, strict safety adherence, and the ability to work on complex government and private sector projects. Responsibilities include installing and fitting pipes to specs, cutting, threading and welding, inspecting for leaks, and maintaining detailed records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years of pipefitting experience, preferably in petroleum or industrial settings.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance for fuel systems.
• Ability to work in confined spaces and handle physically demanding tasks.

Responsibilities

• Install and fit pipes for fuel systems, day tanks, and remote fill installations according to specifications and blueprints.
• Cut, thread, and weld pipes using appropriate tools and techniques.
• Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and compliance with safety regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers and other technicians to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on petroleum piping systems.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
