Job summary

Intertek Nederland, TX is seeking a Laboratory Technician to perform analytical testing on petroleum and related products in line with ASTM or client methods. You will report results promptly while upholding safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with calibration, data entry to LIMS, and maintaining records. Applicants should have strong math, observation, and teamwork skills and be able to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must multi-task in high production testing areas.
• Good math and observation skills required.
• Proficiency using LIMS applications and chemistry lab processes.
• Excellent team communication and cooperation.
• Ability to follow standard and non-standard procedures.
• Ability to utilize instrumentation.
• Proficiency with MS Office (Word/Excel).
• Overtime availability as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform chemical and physical tests per ASTM methods or industry standards.
• Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Clean glassware and test equipment.
• Prepare reagents as needed.
• Record data and report to LIMS system.
• Maintain quality records, control charts, and lab inventories.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and housekeeping rules.
• Participate in cross training as needed.
