Job summary

AmSpec Services is seeking a Lab Operations Supervisor to oversee laboratory personnel and ensure accurate testing data and instrument status. This role reports to the Lab Manager and collaborates with Operations to meet testing goals.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or an Associate’s degree with substantial petroleum industry experience, plus strong leadership and communication skills for cross-functional coordination. This is a safety-sensitive position requiring drug testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with at least 2 years of management experience in petroleum.
• Alternative: Associate’s Degree with 5+ years in petroleum industry.
• Strong managerial and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule lab assignments for technicians and supervisors.
• Receive, compile, and verify data from lab testing and maintain records.
• Analyze quality control results to ensure equipment efficiency.
• Provide training to laboratory analysts and liaise with Lab Manager and Operations.
• Prepare corrective and preventive action reports for QA/QC.
• Follow up on non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Perform related duties as required and safety-sensitive responsibilities including drug testing.
