Job summary

SPATCO is seeking an energetic Heavy Maintenance Crew Leader to join its Heavy Maintenance Division in Florida. The role focuses on installation of sumps, retrofit kits, fittings, piping, setting dispensers, and pumping units, with related electrical and environmental tasks.

You will lead a crew, coordinate subcontractors, manage schedules, ensure safety, track materials and costs, and maintain documentation and compliance with codes and manufacturer requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience in the petroleum industry is preferred but not required.
• OSHA Hazwoper training a plus.
• Installer certifications a plus.
• Ability to lift 75–100 lbs when necessary during the course of duties.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate job duties and delegate tasks to heavy maintenance workers and sub-contractors.
• Monitor and maintain schedules for workmen and sub-contractors; ensure best skills are applied and requirements followed.
• Ensure all safe work practices and housekeeping practices are followed at all times.
• Brief crew members on daily tasks and direct work assignments.
• Track rental equipment, material needs and sub-contractor costs to maintain budgets.
• Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks with codes, specs and manufacturer requirements.
• Document daily activities, materials used, testing and inspections.
• Maintain product warranty documentation.
• Foster positive relationships with crew, vendors and sub-contractors for timely supply flow.
