Job summary

OWL Services in Durham, NC leads petroleum construction, installation of USTs/ASTs, piping, and related equipment. This hands-on field leadership role requires reading plans, ensuring safety, coordinating crews, and delivering projects on time.

The Petroleum Heavy Maintenance Lead travels frequently, mentors technicians, and represents the company with customers and inspectors while maintaining OSHA compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years of petroleum construction or fuel system installation experience.
Proven track record installing USTs and ASTs.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and site plans.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

Lead installation of USTs, ASTs, fuel piping, and petroleum equipment.
Supervise field crews during petroleum construction activities.
Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, specs, and details.
Verify elevations, grades, slopes, and piping elevations for layouts.
Coordinate daily activities with project managers, contractors, inspectors and trades.
Ensure work complies with plans, specs, manufacturer requirements and company standards.
Train and mentor less-experienced technicians and crew members.
