Position OverviewPosition SummaryThe Petroleum Engineer – Well Treatment Operations is responsible for the technical design, planning, and execution support of well treatment programs across oil and gas operations. This role develops treatment designs aligned with reservoir and well objectives while ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective field execution. The position works closely with operations, field supervisors, and customers to translate engineering plans into successful treatments, optimize performance, and continuously improve service delivery.The engineer serves as a technical interface between customers, operations personnel, and internal engineering resources to ensure treatments are properly engineered, executed according to plan, and evaluated for performance improvement.ResponsibilitiesWell Treatment Design & EngineeringDesign and engineer well treatment programs including acidizing, scale remediation, paraffin/asphaltene treatments, water control, stimulation support, and other chemical-based interventions.Perform candidate selection, treatment modeling, fluid selection, and volume calculations based on well data, reservoir characteristics, and operational constraints.Develop treatment procedures, job programs, and technical documentation for field execution.Evaluate risks and ensure treatment designs comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.Execution Support & Operations IntegrationWork directly with operations and field personnel to ensure treatments are executed according to design and operational best practices.Provide technical support during job execution, including troubleshooting and real-time adjustments when required.Participate in pre-job planning meetings, post-job reviews, and operational debriefs.Ensure alignment between engineering intent and field execution capabilities.Performance Evaluation & OptimizationAnalyze treatment results using production data, pressure response, and post-treatment diagnostics.Prepare technical reports summarizing treatment performance and recommendations.Identify opportunities to improve treatment effectiveness, reduce costs, and enhance operational efficiency.Support continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and best practice development.Customer & Technical InterfaceServe as a technical resource for customers, providing recommendations and explanations of treatment approaches and expected outcomes.Support sales and account teams with technical proposals, treatment justifications, and performance discussions.Maintain strong working relationships with customer engineering and operations teams.Safety & CompliancePrepare and distribute the monthly man-hour report for the Safety department.Champion a proactive safety culture by consistently demonstrating safe work practices and promoting accountability, hazard awareness, and environmental stewardship.Ensure compliance with all Company, customer, and regulatory Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, procedures, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.Lead by example in the safe handling, storage, transportation, and transfer of acids, hazardous chemicals, and other regulated materials in accordance with Company procedures and regulatory requirements.Verify the proper selection, use, and maintenance of required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure safe work practices are consistently followed.Identify, assess, and mitigate operational risks by participating in Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action planning.Promote operational discipline by ensuring work is performed in accordance with approved engineering standards, operating procedures, and Company best practices.Actively participate in incident reporting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.Partner with Operations, Technical Services, and HSE teams to identify opportunities to improve safety performance, operational efficiency, and environmental compliance.Participate in regional HSE meetings, safety observations, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen the Company's safety culture.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering or related engineering discipline.Minimum of 3–8 years in well treatments, production enhancement, stimulation, or related oilfield services.Working knowledge of well intervention practices, production systems, and chemical treatment applications.Experience supporting field operations and working in cross-functional environments.Preferred QualificationsWorking knowledge of well intervention practices, production systems, and chemical treatment applications.Experience with acidizing design, chemical treatment optimization, or production enhancement programs.Familiarity with treatment modeling software and production analysis tools.Prior experience in oilfield chemical services or service company environment.Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure is a plus002EKnowledgeWorking knowledge of federal and state employment laws and Human Resources compliance requirements.Understanding of HR best practices related to onboarding, recruiting, employee records management, and confidentiality.Knowledge of Form I-9, E-Verify, and pre-employment screening
