Job summary

Dead River Company in Maine is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely deliver petroleum products to residential and commercial customers. You’ll load the truck, follow daily manifests, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations while maintaining a courteous, professional image.

The role requires at least 1 year of driving experience and a valid CDL with hazmat endorsement; CETP training and an apprentice oil burner license are also required for propane deliveries.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• At least 21 years old with 1 year delivery driving experience preferred.
• Class B CDL with hazmat endorsement required.
• CETP training and certification required to deliver propane.
• Apprentice oil burner license required for oil delivery drivers.
• All delivery drivers must pass a DOT physical and drug tests.

Responsibilities

• Deliver petroleum products to residential and commercial customers.
• Perform daily safety checks on delivery vehicle.
• Load truck, follow manifests, and deliver per regulations.
• Attend delivery driver meetings and coordinate with dispatch.
• Communicate with dispatchers and handle customer concerns.
• Operate with neat appearance and maintained safety equipment.
• Prime furnaces for propane customers and support other departments when needed.
