Industry leader in the petroleum services, looking for experienced, energetic, hardworking Light Duty Construction Technicians.
The primary duties of the Light Duty Construction Technician are to assist in the installation of underground and above ground storage tanks, piping, electrical, excavating, busting and removal of concrete, re-pouring of concrete, installing dispensers, and other petroleum related work while providing complete customer satisfaction in a polite and professional manner, and maintaining excellent safety standards.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all safe work practices are followed at all times
Ensure safe housekeeping practices are followed at all times, including job cleanup at the end of each day
Verify accuracy and compliance of tasks in progress to comply with codes, project specifications and manufacturer requirements.
Document daily activities, material/parts used, testing, inspections and visitors.
Create and maintain positive working relationships with crew members, vendors, suppliers, and sub-contractors to maintain a timely flow of supplies, materials and sub-contractor work.
Operate Heavy Equipment
Conduct work on construction projects, concrete removal and replacement, manhole and spill containment replacements
Maintain tools and equipment to ensure all are in proper and safe working order
Other tasks as requested by management
Qualifications:
Operate equipment such as skid steers, forklift, man-lift following all equipment and company safety protocol, procedures/policies
High school diploma or GED (required)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (required)
Experience in construction work helpful
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
Troubleshooting skills/logical problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills and customer relations skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to:
Exhibit a professional demeanor, and develop customer relations and superior service
Ability to lift 75 –100 lbs when necessary during the course of performing their necessary duties
Ability to work in a high traffic area
Work outside during all types of weather
Work independently and as a member of a team
Create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, and supervisors)
Pass a drug test and background check
