Job summary

JF Petroleum Group is seeking a field team leader for our North American fueling infrastructure projects. Under Foreman's supervision, you will direct a crew, operate and supervise equipment, and help install tanks and piping in outdoor sites.

You must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, blueprint reading ability, basic math and mechanical skills, and willingness to travel up to 50–60%. We offer competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; ability to operate construction truck and tow small trailers.
• Ability to read a blueprint.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Experience with HVAC, pipefitting, petroleum construction, or related field.
• Pass drug screen, background check, and MVR if driving for the company.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand 8-10 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Under Foreman supervision, act as a team leader for a project phase and direct others.
• Spot and direct heavy equipment operators during excavation operations.
• Cut and thread steel pipe and assist in fitting/installing tanks.
• Assist foreman with grades and simple paperwork.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site as directed.
• Ensure signs, barricades, and PPE are in place.
• Keep tools and inventory organized on truck/trailer.
• Communicate ahead to plan and prevent problems.
• Present the company image and maintain personal appearance.
• Work after hours and in all weather; long travel possible (50-60%).

We serve a diverse clientele including retail fueling stations, commercial and government fleets, and emergency power customers.

Job Duties:

• Under the Foreman’s supervision, act as a team leader to independently undertake a specific phase of work and direct others in the completion of that goal.
• Be able to spot and direct the heavy equipment operators, track hoe and loaders, from the ground during excavation operations. The ability to operate small machinery, such as a skid steer loader or backhoe, is a plus.
• Able to cut and thread steel pipe and assist in the fitting and installation on underground and above-ground tanks.
• Assist with the foreman shooting grades, and simple paperwork.
• Help maintain a clean and organized job site per the foreman’s direction.
• Help maintain a safe job site - make sure all signs and safety barricades and devices are in place and wear the proper personal protective equipment for the task being performed.
• Keep the tools of the trade picked up, cleaned and organized on the truck or job trailer.
• Keep the job inventory straight per the foreman’s directions.
• Communicate and look ahead to avoid problems and help plan.
• Present the Company image and maintain personal appearance.
• Work will include after-hours
• Able to work in all weather conditions – significant portion of the work is done outdoors
• Willing to travel, up to 50-60% of the time

Requirements

• Highschool Diploma or GED required
• Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely operate a construction truck and tow small trailers when needed. (No DUI’s within the past 5 years)
• Ability to read a blueprint.
• Basic math and mechanical skills.
• Experience with HVAC, pipefitting, petroleum construction, or related field.
• Must be able to meet company’s employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, background check, and MVR, if driving for the company
• Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
