Job summary

SPATCO is seeking an energetic Petroleum Construction Crew Leader to join our Construction Division. You will oversee all aspects of petroleum storage tank installation/removal, piping, dispensers, and pumping units, with duties extending to concrete work, electrical, environmental cleanup, and equipment disposal.

You will coordinate tasks, supervise schedules, ensure safety, and manage materials, subcontractors, and costs.

Qualifications

Experience in the petroleum industry is a plus but not required.
OSHA 40hr Training is a plus.
Installer certifications in the industry is a plus.
Equipment operation experience is a plus.
Ability to lift 75-100 lbs when necessary during duties.
Work outside during all types of weather.
Work under time constraints and collaborate with others.
Follow all company procedures.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and regular maintenance, used for company business only.

Responsibilities

Coordinate job duties and delegate tasks for smaller construction projects.
Monitor and maintain employee schedules and subcontractors; assign the best skills for each task.
Ensure all safe work practices and housekeeping are followed daily.
Brief crew members on daily tasks and direct work on assigned tasks.
Track rental equipment, material needs and costs; manage project budgets.
Verify progress tasks comply with codes, specs and manufacturer requirements.
Document daily activities, materials used, testing, inspections and visitors.
Maintain product warranty documentation.
Foster positive relationships with crew, vendors, and sub-contractors to ensure timely supplies.
