Job summary

CAS - Engineering, Design & Automation seeks an Instrument/Electrical Designer based in Beaumont, TX. The role involves developing and revising instrument and electrical drawings, including layouts, wiring diagrams, loop diagrams and panel schedules for petrochemical projects.

You will coordinate with engineers and project managers, interpret specifications, prepare bills of materials, and ensure compliance with codes and client requirements.

Qualifications

• Industrial petrochemical electrical design experience preferred.
• Knowledge of safety practices and applicable codes.
• Experience with load calculations and single-line diagrams beneficial.
• Proficiency with CAD tools and revision control advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise instrument/ electrical design drawings (layouts, wiring, loop diagrams, panel schedules).
• Coordinate with engineers and project managers to interpret specs and standards.
• Prepare bills of materials and ensure designs meet codes and client requirements.
• Review field data, support site walkdowns, and incorporate redlines and as-built information.
• Assist with power distribution layouts and maintain design documentation.
• Support project schedules and quality standards; collaborate with construction and maintenance teams.
