YOU MUST BE PERMANENT IN THE PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE TITLE.

The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) prioritizes children’s well-being by assisting parents in providing for their children’s economic, social, health, and stability needs. OCSS serves all parents and guardians, regardless of income or immigration status. The program supports tens of thousands of children annually by increasing household income and collecting over $700 million each year.

The DSS Court Services (DSS CS) division manages cases from the OCSS Borough Offices and Enforcement division for families receiving Cash and Medical Assistance. DSS CS collaborates with the DSS Office of Legal Affairs (OLA) and NYS Office of Court Administration (OCA) to file child support petitions, facilitate court hearings, and manage case processing post-hearing.

Under the supervision of the DSS Court Services Director/Deputy Director, with significant autonomy, DSS Court Services Supervisors oversee staff functions, including initiating court-related child support processes such as petition filing, scheduling hearings, summons processing, and post-hearing activities. They coordinate summons service workflows across NYC, monitor and ensure quality assurance, and perform reviews to maintain standards.

The Office of Child Support Services (OCSS) is hiring two (2) Principal Administrative Associate II positions to serve as Petition Filing Supervisors, responsible for:

  1. Monitoring contracts with summons service vendors within and outside NYC, overseeing billing reconciliation, and ensuring compliance.
  2. Managing service requests domestically and internationally, conducting quality reviews, and ensuring timely, accurate petition and summons processing within legal deadlines.
  3. Supervising staff in generating petitions, summons, notices, and scheduling court hearings across all NYC boroughs using UCMS.
  4. Preparing and analyzing statistical reports to evaluate performance and support decision-making.
  5. Reconciliation of service affidavits and coordination of subpoenas and witness checks.
  6. Leading staff meetings, ensuring compliance with policies, and implementing new procedures.
  7. Acting as liaison with various agency components, legal bodies, and vendors.
  8. Performing additional administrative duties as assigned.
