Job summary

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Accredited in PetSmart Training Instructor Course.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pet training services and enhance the pet parent experience across channels.
• Actively sell training classes in store, over the phone and online.
• Educate pet parents about the benefits of the training curriculum.
• Maintain all paperwork related to pet training.
• Serve as subject matter expert for the location on training benefits.
• Schedule training classes per company expectations.
• Ensure a safe environment for people and pets in classes and store areas.
• Keep the training area clean and presentable.
• Recognize associates for contributions to training sales.
• Take action if a sick or injured pet is identified in-store.
• Recommend, inform and sell merchandise and services.
• Assist other departments as required; participate in Belonging and Recognition.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
