Job summary

Hmixray in Port Charlotte, Florida is seeking a dedicated PET Technologist Float to deliver high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging. This role involves operating PET scanners, assisting radiologists, and providing compassionate support to patients throughout their exams.

The ideal candidate will possess ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification, venipuncture certification, and BLS certification, alongside a passion for patient care in a dynamic environment. Benefits include comprehensive health coverages and 401(k) matching.

Qualifications

  • Must have current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
  • Must have BLS certification.
  • At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

When you join us as a PET Technologist Float covering our Port Charlotte and Sarasota centers, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will
  • Perform complex specialized tasks associated with the operation of PET scanners and related equipment in accordance with prescribed radiation safety procedures and company protocols.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Assist radiologists with imaging and interventional procedures, starting IVs, and injecting contrast if needed.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

Pay Range is $40-$52 per hour.
