Job summary

Rochester Regional Health's Imaging Center–Northern Heights is seeking a PET Technologist to perform PET/CT scans, handle radiopharmaceuticals, and maintain QA processes. The role requires nuclear medicine training, ARRT/NMTCB certification timelines, and NYS radiologic licensure considerations.

The candidate will work in Radiology with flexible hours; safety, accuracy, and patient care are emphasized, including lab testing and information-system duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Medicine or completion of certificate program.
• ARRT and/or NMTCB certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire.
• ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) certification obtained within 6 months of hire.
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology in Nuclear Medicine or permit with licensure within 6 months of hire.
• BL S/CPR certification.
• 1 year of PET or nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• Strong computer and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Maintains CE credits and competency in glucometer use and related tests.

Responsibilities

• Establishes safe and secure environment for patients.
• Performs PET/CT scans and administers radiopharmaceuticals.
• Performs glucometer QC and patient blood glucose testing.
• Obtains urine pregnancy tests for appropriate patients.
• Maintains Hot Lab and Hot Lab information system.
