Providence Swedish is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations. You will operate a multi-slice CT scanner, start IVs, administer radiopharmaceuticals, and deliver compassionate patient care in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program is required.
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist License required on hire.
  • Multiple board certifications may be required or preferred, including NMTCB/ARRT options listed above.
  • Licensure or certification in CT is required or preferred as listed.
  • BLS certification from American Heart Association on hire.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations using radiopharmaceuticals and contrast agents.
  • Operate a multi-slice CT scanner and power injector with precision.
  • Start IVs and administer contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals per physician directions.
  • Provide patient care with professionalism and compassion.
  • Participate in daily duties to deliver high-quality imaging and care.
  • Deliver exemplary patient and team service.
  • Collaborate within a team and maintain a positive attitude.
  • Adhere to safety standards per Providence Swedish policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize radiopharmaceuticals as well as oral and IV contrast agents to perform a variety of diagnostic PET, PET/CT, and CT examinations.
  • Operate a multi‑slice CT scanner and power injector with proficiency and attention to detail.
  • Start IVs and administer various contrast agents and radiopharmaceuticals at the direction of the physician.
  • Provide patient care services as needed in a professional, compassionate manner.
  • Participate in all daily duties necessary to perform high‑quality care and imaging exams.
  • Deliver exemplary customer service in all patient and team interactions.
  • Engage fully in a collaborative team framework while maintaining a positive approach and attitude.
  • Assume responsibility for designated duties or procedures as required and adhere to all safety standards in accordance with SMC policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine Technology program
  • Washington Radiologic Technologist License upon hire
  • Upon Hire:
    • National Positron Emission Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or--
    • National Registered Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology --or--
    • National Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board --or--
    • National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography --or--
    • National Computed Tomography Technologist - Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 yearof experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
