Overview

We are seeking an experienced Lead PET Technologist to take on expanded leadership responsibilities. In addition to performing advanced PET imaging duties as a Senior PET Technologist, this role will assist with payroll processing, staff scheduling, and provide support to the department manager as needed. This position will support the Northern sites and is only open to internal candidates at this time.

Salary Range: $45.00-60.00

Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Lead PET Technologist to oversee daily operations in our nuclear medicine department. This lead role combines advanced PET imaging responsibilities with administrative duties, including payroll processing and employee performance reviews.

Key Responsibilities

-Performs PET scan procedures to include injection of radiopharmaceutical, setup of protocol, reconstruction and development of images, coordination of image on report function and archiving of images.

-Schedules procedures and related front office functions to ensure smooth workflow.

-Ensures accuracy of patient demographic information, report distribution and patient files.

-Collects clinical data for patient follow-up and development of teaching and educational information.

The PET/CT Lead Tech is a senior technologist who helps keep day-to-day operations running smoothly while supporting the team and ensuring high-quality imaging at assigned sites. This role is a mix of hands-on clinical work, problem-solving, and light administrative leadership. Duties include:

• Focus on daily workflow and operations to keep the schedule moving efficiently
• Serve as a senior team member and point of contact for technologists at your designated sites
• Oversee and ensure completion of daily, weekly, and monthly camera QC at assigned locations
• Troubleshoot patient scheduling issues and help resolve same-day problems as they arise
• Assist with staffing coverage, including call-outs, schedule adjustments, and coverage gaps
• Provide guidance and support to technologists while promoting teamwork and consistency
• Communicate with leadership about workflow concerns, equipment issues, or staffing needs
• When workload allows, this role includes some off-the-floor administrative time for tasks such as reviewing QC, scheduling coordination, communication, and process improvement

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associates or Bachelors degree in Biology or nuclear medicine technology from an AMA accredited program. At least seven years experience in nuclear medicine, including two years of PET experience. CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) and/or ARRT (N) certification and state licensure where applicable. Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred.
