Petco Animal Supplies Stores, Inc. is seeking a professional Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for our clients' pets in California. You will apply your grooming skills with attention to detail, ensuring pets look and feel their best while engaging with pet parents to discuss care and maintenance.

Qualifications

• Pet Stylist Apprentice program completion or grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use grooming tools and follow breed standards.
• Results-driven with attention to productivity and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform grooming services according to client instructions and breed standards.
• Operate and maintain clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Prioritize pet safety and wellbeing; report concerns to owners and management.
• Assess coat type, skin conditions, and temperament of each pet.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and tools.
• Follow grooming policies to ensure safety and consistency.
• May train/supervise trainees when Grooming Salon Leader is unavailable.
