Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert professional grooming services, including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, and ear/gland cleaning. You will ensure safety and comfort for pets while delivering exceptional customer service to pet parents.

The role offers competitive base pay and a supportive grooming environment, with opportunities for growth and advancement within Petco’s grooming leadership track. Weekend and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving, using grooming skills to solve routine to moderately complex situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of every animal and communicate with pet parents.
