Job summary

Petco in the United States is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for a variety of dogs, ensuring safety, comfort and excellent customer care in a fast-paced salon.

You will work with modern grooming tools, maintain a clean area, follow Petco policies, and have opportunities to mentor others and advance within grooming leadership roles. Weekend/evening availability is required to support peak periods.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, and dryers.
• Prioritize the safety and well-being of every animal and communicate with pet parents.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations.
