Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for dogs and cats, ensuring each pet looks and feels its best. You will maintain grooming tools, follow safety guidelines, and deliver excellent customer service to pet parents.

The role requires the ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays, with opportunities for career development within the grooming salon.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco or equivalent grooming training.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to judge breed standards and grooming needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Maintain clean, safe grooming area and equipment; follow hygiene policies.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations.
• Train or supervise entry-level trainees when needed.
• Ensure safety and well-being of pets during grooming sessions.
