This role requires completing the Pet Stylist Apprentice program, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to train and guide junior staff when needed. Flexible hours include weekends and holidays, with on-site grooming in a Petco salon.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco.
• High‑school diploma or GED preferred.
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in grooming situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Nail trimming, ear cleaning and gland cleaning per instructions and breed standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools daily in line with Petco policies.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations and care tips.
