Job summary

Petco is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to deliver professional grooming services for a range of dog breeds in a busy grooming salon. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and high-quality grooming outcomes.

You will operate grooming equipment, maintain a clean workspace, and may mentor trainees while providing guidance to pet parents on at-home care. Weekend/evening shifts required depending on schedule.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco
• High-school diploma or GED preferred
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in grooming scenarios

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling
• Maintain grooming tools and equipment; ensure safety and cleanliness of the salon
• Provide excellent customer service and guidance to pet parents
• Educate pet parents on at-home grooming maintenance and products
• Train and supervise entry-level trainees when needed
• Adhere to Petco policies and sanitation standards
