Job summary

Mud Bay is seeking a Store Manager in Washington to lead a team with integrity and responsibility, guiding development and growth across the store network. You will model exceptional service, mentor staff, and ensure a welcoming in-store experience.

The role offers a competitive base pay from $33.05 to $40.00 per hour, benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA, 401(k), ESOP, PTO accrual, and Vetster Telehealth, with opportunities for advancement through hands-on leadership and ongoing

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• 3+ years of proven leadership in a service-oriented environment.
• Has a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Experience leading a team required.
• Flexibility in location and schedule.
• Responsible for leading a shift while training.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
• Competent with basic math, comfortable using computers, calculators, and 10-keys.
• Interest in dogs, cats and small animals.
• Genuine, friendly and accountable demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Practice, provide, and inspire others to create a happy, educational, and fun experience for all who visit our stores
• Strive to continuously grow and develop in an education-rich environment, focusing on dogs, cats, and small animals’ health and nutrition
• Lead by example, train and mentor staff to help contribute to sales growth by continuously providing great customer experience through conversations that focuses on finding solutions and graciously fulfilling our customer’s needs
• Lead, train, and work with the team throughout the day, to maintain an inviting, attractive store by continuously cleaning, organizing, receiving, rotating, restocking, and facing inventory
• Perform transactions at the point of sale, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling and other financial procedures accurately and efficiently
• Contribute to the team’s growth, development, and overall performance by creating strong relationships built with fair delegation, encouragement, empowerment, and frequent communication
• Contribute to community presence by creating and developing relationships with neighboring businesses, shelters, or residences
• Identify and hire excellent candidates to build a cohesive and successful team
• Desire to thrive in and adapt to different environments, communication styles, learning, and developmental needs with flexibility and an open mind
• Is comfortable with retail scheduling, including a variety of shifts
• Is able to work in a minimum of six locations
