Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute is seeking a PET Nuclear Medicine Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging for patients at the Brooksville Office. You will administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform image acquisition, and ensure patient safety in a fast-paced oncology setting.

Requirements include an AMA-approved Radiology Tech program, CNMT or ARRT(N) eligibility, and BLS certification. Training for registry within timelines is provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology required.
• CNMT or ARRT(N) registered or registry eligible required
• Registry-eligible graduates must obtain certification within one year of hire.
• ARRT (CT) or NMTCB (CT) must be obtained within two years of hire.
• BLS Certification (Required)

Responsibilities

• Administer radiopharmaceuticals or radiation intravenously under physician direction.
• Calculate, measure, and record radiation dosage per physician prescription.
• Detect and map radiopharmaceuticals in patients using imaging equipment.
• Gather patient history to guide procedures and therapy decisions.
• Dispose of radioactive materials following safety procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate radioisotope and laboratory equipment.
• Explain test procedures to patients and assist during imaging.
• Perform quality control checks on equipment and cameras.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
