Job summary

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers of Colorado in Denver is seeking an experienced Radioactive Materials Licensing Physicist (PET Imaging) for a part-time role (20–24 hours/week). The position focuses on oversight, compliance, and technical support of radioactive materials used in PET, CT, theranostics, and related nuclear medicine services.

Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Medical Physics, Health Physics, Nuclear Engineering, or a related scientific field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency with radiation monitoring equipment and quality assurance methodologies.
  • 3–5 years of experience in nuclear medicine or PET-related radiation safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee radioactive materials licensing pertaining to PET imaging and nuclear medicine.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain licences, amendments, renewals, and compliance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NRC and Agreement State regulations and other applicable rules.
  • Support Radiation Safety Officer and committee activities, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Conduct radiation safety training and competency assessments for PET staff.
