Job summary

Petco is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming for our customers' pets. You will bathe, dry, trim, and style animals to breed standards while delivering caring, high-quality service.

You will maintain a clean salon, operate grooming tools, follow safety guidelines, and support the grooming team. Weekend, evenings, and holidays are required. Competitive pay with benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Latitude for independent judgment and problem solving with supervision when necessary
• Strong attention to detail ensuring grooming services meet high standards

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers)
• Maintain a clean and safe grooming area and salon, sanitize tools and equipment
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations and care guidance
