Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert Grooming services for pets, ensuring high standards of care and customer satisfaction. You will operate grooming tools, follow breed standards, and maintain a clean, safe salon environment.

The role requires strong communication with pet parents, the ability to handle pets of all sizes, and a commitment to Petco’s grooming policies and quality guidelines. Weekend/evening availability is required.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for animals.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, and styling.
• Nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning as part of grooming.
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and equipment following Petco policies.
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations.
