Job summary

Petco is seeking a skilled Pet Stylist/Groomer at our Ellisville, MO location. You will provide expert grooming services and ensure each pet leaves looking and feeling their best. The role emphasizes safety, client communication, and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers).
• Ensure pet safety and comfort, monitor pets for discomfort, illness, or injury, and report concerns to management.
• Interact with pet parents, provide grooming recommendations, and deliver timely resolutions to questions.
