Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to deliver professional grooming services for our customers’ pets. You will bathe, trim, and style, using breed-specific practices and maintaining safety and hygiene standards throughout each session.

You will interact with pet parents, provide home-care recommendations, and uphold Petco’s grooming policies while working in a fast-paced, pet-friendly salon environment.

Qualifications

• Completed Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma preferred.
• Ability to problem-solve and work under guidance from supervisory staff.
• Strong attention to detail and care for animals.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert grooming services: bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts, nails, ears, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools and equipment.
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being and communicate with pet parents.
• Educate owners on home grooming and care.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary grooming area and follow Petco guidelines.
