Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for our customers' pets in our grooming salon.

You will bathe, trim, style, and ensure the highest standards of care and safety, while delivering excellent customer service and pet-parent education. Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
• Latitude for independent judgement and problem solving in the grooming salon
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high grooming standards

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning
• Operate grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes and dryers
• Prioritize the safety, comfort, and well-being of pets and ensure customer satisfaction
• Interact professionally with pet parents and provide grooming recommendations and care tips
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area and sanitize tools per policy
• Train or support entry-level trainees when needed
