Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for clients’ dogs, ensuring they look and feel their best. Under supervision, you’ll bathe, dry, trim, and style coats while prioritizing pet safety and customer satisfaction.

You will operate grooming tools, maintain a clean salon, train or support trainees when needed, and interact with pet parents to offer care tips and product recommendations. Weekend, evening, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or equivalent grooming training.
• High-school diploma preferred.
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services (bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts) to meet breed standards and client expectations.
• Operate grooming tools and maintain sanitation of tools and salon.
• Prioritize pet safety and comfort; communicate with pet parents about grooming needs and aftercare.
• Provide customer service, grooming recommendations, and timely resolution to questions.
• Assist and/or supervise entry-level trainees when needed.
