Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for customers' pets. You will bathe, trim, and style coats with care, prioritizing safety, comfort, and high-quality service in a bustling grooming salon.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program
• High-school diploma or GED preferred, though not required

Responsibilities

• Perform professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning
• Operate and maintain grooming instruments such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers
• Prioritize safety and well-being of every animal; communicate with pet parents and store management
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care practices
• Maintain a clean, safe grooming area; disinfect and sanitize tools daily
