Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide expert grooming services for clients’ pets. Join a team that values animal wellbeing and customer service, with opportunities for career development.

You will perform baths, trims, and styling while using a full suite of grooming tools. Weekend and evening availability is preferred to meet store scheduling needs and support our grooming salon leaders.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the Pet Stylist Apprentice program with Petco, or previous experience as a professional groomer and/or completion of a technical grooming training program.
• Strong attention to detail and care for pets.
• Ability to work with pet parents and team members.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional grooming services including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling.
• Handle grooming instruments (clippers, blades, shears, brushes, dryers) safely.
• Prioritize pet safety and well‑being, monitor pets for comfort or illness.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized grooming area and equipment.
• Assist and train entry-level trainees when needed.
