Job summary

PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog and/or Cat Groomer) is responsible for engaging with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences and best in class salon services while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role shares responsibility of cleanliness and pet health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Grooming experience required or completed Salon Academy training.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong organizational and safety-focused skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of grooming services per standards.
• Recommend health and wellness solutions to pet parents.
• Ensure positive pet parent experience in person, on the phone, and at the register.
• Greet clients, answer questions and assist with reservations.
• Maintain client records and rebook appointments.
• Promote salon sales to meet targets and grow revenue.
• Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and humane pet care.
• Act on health concerns and transport to vet if needed.
• Assist in other departments as required.
