Job summary

Petco is seeking a Pet Stylist to provide professional grooming services for client pets, ensuring safety and comfort throughout the visit. You will perform bathing, drying, haircuts, nail trimming, and styling while upholding Petco standards and delivering exceptional customer care.

Qualifications

• Completion of Pet Stylist Apprentice program or professional grooming experience.
• High-school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform professional grooming including bathing, drying, brushing, haircuts and styling, nail trimming, ear cleaning, and gland cleaning.
• Operate and maintain grooming tools such as clippers, blades, shears, brushes, and dryers.
• Prioritize pet safety and well-being while delivering high-quality customer service to pet parents.
• Evaluate each pet's needs considering coat type, skin conditions, and temperament.
• Educate pet parents on grooming maintenance and at-home care routines.
