Job summary

Pilgrim’s in Mt. Pleasant, TX is hiring for Pet Food / Protein Laborer to support our hourly production team on site. Responsibilities include operating machinery, performing manual labor, and maintaining production quality and safety in line with USDA standards.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and ongoing process improvements while enabling growth through the Better Futures programs and benefits. This is an on-site, full-time position with opportunities across protein production and pet

Responsibilities

• Operate machinery and perform manual labor tasks as assigned
• Process product according to established procedures and quality/quantity expectations
• Observe equipment operation and report malfunctions or safety concerns to appropriate personnel
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist team members by sharing knowledge and skills gained from the position
• Follow all company personnel, quality, safety, and food safety policies
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through effective communication and teamwork
• Recognize and act on safety risks; consistently practice and enforce safe work habits
• Participate in process improvement and problem-solving using continuous improvement methods
• Follow all company animal welfare guidelines
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Overview
Pet Food / Protein Laborers are responsible for operating machinery, performing manual labor, and supporting production processes in accordance with USDA and Pilgrim’s standards. This role plays a key part in ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency.
