Job summary

Nestlé Purina North America is seeking a Production Manager to lead production supervisors, leaders, and operators at the St. Joseph, MO facility. You will uphold safety, quality, and production standards while developing reports on safety, quality, and production information.

You will gain deep knowledge of our operating processes to ensure smooth facility operation, drive CI initiatives, and coach teams to meet performance goals in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in a production or operations leadership role within manufacturing, military, or related environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement strategies for safety, sanitation, productivity, and cost saving enhancements.
• Achieve high levels of asset intensity by reducing unplanned stops, speed loss, waste generation, and optimizing planned downtime performance.
• Facilitate Continuous Improvement efforts in alignment with Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE).
• Present problem solving by identifying root causes and recommending solutions.
• Provide post-installation analysis of new technology and capital equipment installations.
• Certify finished products are consistently manufactured to standards, on time, and meet consumer expectations through coaching.
