Golden Pet Manufacturing seeks a Plant Manager to lead the Seward facility, driving production efficiency and safety. You will oversee teams, manage budgets, and report on KPIs while partnering with Quality, Maintenance and HR to ensure compliant, cost-effective operations.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, GMP adherence, and development of leaders within a pet food manufacturing environment. Location is Seward, NE with strategic cross-department collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must have 10+ years of leadership within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in lean manufacturing.
• Prior experience in pet food or food manufacturing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage the production process at the Seward facility to operate within budget and meet KPIs.
• Monitor daily production performance and adjust as needed to meet standards.
• Create and share regular reports with management on production metrics and issues.
• Maintain safety guidelines and enforce GMPs and food safety standards.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement with cross-department collaboration.
• Lead Production and Sanitation teams to foster accountability, autonomy, and career development.
• Analyze production processes and equipment for efficiency and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Sanitation, Accounting and HR to sustain operations.
• Provide leadership support for employee or performance challenges and mentor strong performers.
