Job summary

Performance Pet Products is seeking a results-driven Business Development Manager to grow our pet food co-manufacturing business. The role focuses on developing new customer relationships, expanding strategic accounts, and aligning opportunities with our manufacturing capabilities.

You will collaborate with sales, customer service, R&D, procurement, operations, and planning to drive profitability and long-term growth, with a base salary plus potential commission and remote work option.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Agriculture, Animal Science, Meat Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in pet food, food manufacturing, or business development preferred.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sales strategies to grow the pet food co-manufacturing business.
• Identify, prospect, and secure new branded, private label, and co-manufacturing customers.
• Maintain a qualified pipeline of new business opportunities.
• Expand existing customer relationships with new products and formats.
• Lead commercial discussions on pricing, volume, and capacity.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align customer demand with capacity.
