Job summary

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Compounding Pharmacy Technician in our Florida pharmacy. You will assist with nonsterile compounding, ensure accuracy, and support pharmacists to deliver reliable care for pets and their veterinarians.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years as a pharmacy technician in a compounding setting.
• Experience in veterinary care or medical field, or strong interest.
• Customer-focused mindset with pet-centric approach.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment; physical requirement to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; collaborative team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with nonsterile compounding of capsules, oral liquids, topicals, optics, and medicated treats under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain accuracy and potency of compounds.
• Package and label prescriptions, including bulk medications.
• Monitor inventory levels, reorder supplies, and receive new stock.
• Adhere to USP guidelines for non-sterile compounding and SOPs.
• Perform environmental monitoring and cleaning per SOPs.
• Collaborate with team to solve problems and support the pharmacist.
