Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for our Monmouth, NJ facility. This full-time role involves performing PET/CT imaging with attention to patient safety and comfort, interpreting orders, and delivering high-quality studies in a multi-site outpatient setting.

Candidates must have a High School Diploma, Nuclear Medicine certification (NMTCB or ARRT N), state license, CPR, and the ability to work at several locations. Preferred: Associate's degree and 1–2 years of Nuclear Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Pre-screens patients and ensures safety, including radiation safety and documentation.
• Produces high quality diagnostic PET/CT images.
• Communicates with patients, radiologists, and team members.
• Trains new technologists and/or PCs.
• Troubleshoots scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment.
