Qualifications

• Must be current ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certified.
• Require a high school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification is mandatory.
• Venipuncture certification/permit is needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality nuclear medicine/PET/CT images on patients.
• Assure proper dose of radionuclides for each patient.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams.
• Safeguard patient property and health information.
• Interact diplomatically with patients and their families.
