Job summary

Texas Oncology in Mesquite seeks a PET/CT Technologist to perform imaging procedures and support a busy diagnostic team. The role involves radiopharmaceutical administration, patient positioning, image acquisition, and data archiving under supervision, with emphasis on safety and QA.

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors in Nuclear Medicine Technology or Radiologic Technology from AMA-accredited program; PET-CT certification.
  • Minimum 3–5 years experience in nuclear medicine and/or PET experience preferred.
  • CNMT and/or ARRT(N) certification and state licensure where applicable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PET imaging procedures, including injection of radiopharmaceuticals and IV contrast, protocol setup, patient positioning, reconstruction and image archiving.
  • Assist in procedure scheduling and related front-office functions to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure accuracy of patient demographics, report distribution, and patient files.
  • Collect clinical data for patient follow-up and educational materials.
  • Maintain patient safety per prescribed standards and conduct daily scanner QC.
  • Report malfunctions and service needs to proper facility.
  • Manage patient data and films including printing, archiving, transfers, and logging.
  • Understand IV contrast contraindications and reactions and follow procedures.
  • Order necessary office, medical, printing and archiving media.
