Job summary

Akumin is hiring a PET/CT Technologist for our New Hampshire facilities. This part-time role may become full-time if opened to traveling to different sites in the area.

The technologist will ensure patient safety, perform high-quality PET/CT imaging, and coordinate with radiologists to deliver accurate studies. The candidate should have a High School Diploma, NMTCB/ARRT(N) certification, state license as required, CPR, and be willing to travel between NH locations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N).
• State license, as required.
• CPR certification.
• As applicable, valid state driver’s license.
• Ability to work at several locations.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic knowledge of computer applications and programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient safety including pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, etc. and radiation safety/regulations, including proper documentation and technique when working with radioactive materials/patients.
• Produces high quality diagnostic images
• Effectively communicates with customers and/or radiologists
• Trains new technologists and/or PC's
• Trouble-shoots the scanner, coach and peripheral equipment (including: monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).
