Job summary

RAYUS Radiology in Lewiston, ME seeks a per diem PET/CT Technologist to operate scanners and deliver high-quality diagnostic images. You will guide patients through imaging steps with clear explanations and ensure accurate records within the Radiology Information System.

The role requires NMTCB or ARRT Nuclear Medicine registration, AMA-approved radiography training, state licensure if applicable, and CPR certification. Prior PET/CT experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• CPR certification must be current.
• Experience performing PET/CT procedures independently.
• Registration with NMTCB or ARRT in Nuclear Medicine.
• Graduate of AMA approved school of radiography.

Responsibilities

• Operate PET/CT scanners to acquire diagnostic images for physicians.
• Explain procedures and position patients for optimal imaging.
• Maintain patient records in RIS and ensure safety protocols.
• Adhere to HIPAA and safety guidelines; monitor radiation standards.
• Assist with protocol manuals, inventory, and training as needed.
• Perform quality control procedures on PET/CT equipment and complete surveys.
