Our PET/CT technologists use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure, and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way. They demonstrate technical competence by effectively interpreting physician instructions and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, enabling physicians to diagnose accurately and treat confidently. Our techs work in various environments—outpatient centers, mobile units, or hospital-based facilities—allowing them to deliver the best imaging care at any access point.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Ensuring patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection techniques, and adherence to radiation safety regulations, including proper documentation when working with radioactive materials.
• Producing high-quality diagnostic images.
• Communicating effectively with patients, radiologists, and team members.
• Training new technologists and personnel.
• Troubleshooting scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment (monitors, PACS, coils, etc.).

Position Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s Degree or higher preferred.
• Certification in Nuclear Medicine by NMTCB or ARRT (N) required.
• State license, as applicable.
• CPR certification required.
• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.
• 1-2 years’ experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures preferred.
• Ability to work across multiple locations.
• Strong customer service, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Local travel may be required.
• COVID-19 vaccination may be a condition of employment.
• Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.

Physical Requirements:

Exposure to outside weather during patient transport on mobile units, radioactive isotopes, and infectious materials. More than 50% of the time involves sitting, standing, walking, and repetitive movements. Less than 50% involves stooping, kneeling, climbing, lifting, and transferring non-ambulatory patients.
