Job summary

RadNet is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join our team in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will perform nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and patient comfort.

Responsibilities include dose preparation, exam explanation, and maintaining PHI and medication safety while delivering compassionate care to diverse patients.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(N) and ARRT CT with State Nuclear Medicine License required.
  • Current ARRT(R) certification required.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • BLS certification required.
  • Venipuncture certification/permit required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or PET/CT images on patients with safe procedures.
  • Ensure proper dose of radionuclides is ordered for each patient.
  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and guide them through exams.
  • Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards on-site medications per policies and regulations.
  • Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect boundaries.
  • Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public in clinical settings.
  • Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with team members.

You will

  • Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
  • Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
  • Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
  • Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

  • Must have current ARRT(N) and ARRT (CT) with State Nuclear Medicine License.
  • Or Current ARRT(R) certification
  • Requires a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have BLS certification
  • Must have venipuncture certification/permit.
