Job summary

RadNet Inland Empire is seeking a PET/CT Technologist to join a dedicated radiology team. You will perform high-quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT images, ensure correct radionuclide dosing, and guide patients through procedures with empathy.

The role requires ARRT/NMTCB certification with a State Nuclear Medicine License, BLS, and venipuncture certification, plus a strong commitment to safety and patient care. Excellent benefits and on-site opportunities available.

Qualifications

• ARRT(N) and/or NMTCB certification with State Nuclear Medicine License.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification/permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and PET/CT images for patients with care and professionalism.
• Ensure the proper dose of radionuclides is ordered for each patient.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients and guide them through the process.
• Monitor patients’ well-being during exams and respond to any discomfort or problems.
• Safeguard patient health information and protect on-site medications per policy.
• Interact respectfully with patients, families, and coworkers and maintain professional behavior.

You Will:

• Perform high quality nuclear medicine and/or positron emission tomography/computed tomography images on patients while providing excellent care.
• Assure proper dose of radionuclides are ordered for each patient.
• Explain test procedures and safety precautions to patients, guiding them through a sometimes-difficult process by gently talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process. Monitor patients’ well-being during exams; recognizes patient discomfort or medical problems and takes appropriate action.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers. Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
