Community Hospital is seeking a Nuc Med PET/CT Technician to perform PET/CT and nuclear medicine examinations on site at Grand Junction, CO. The role requires certification through NMTCB/ARRT with CT credentials preferred.

The position is part-time in Radiology, with responsibilities including patient screening, radiation safety, and image acquisition. Relocation to Grand Junction is required, and the facility emphasizes patient safety and protocol compliance.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.
• Requires NMTCB and/or ARRT NM certification; CT certification preferred.
• ARRT CT certification in addition to Nuclear Medicine is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Performs PET/CT and Nuclear Medicine exams per physician orders and protocols.
• Screens patients for contraindications, allergies, pregnancy status, blood glucose, and other safety factors.
• Prepare patients, including fasting, and perform venipuncture and radiopharmaceutical administration when authorized.
• Selects imaging protocols based on order and patient considerations; acquires diagnostic-quality images with ALARA principles.
• Reviews image quality and may obtain additional images as needed; performs contrast-enhanced PET/CT and manages adverse reactions.
• Monitors patients during exams and responds to changes in condition.
